This week our Yogi in the Community is Dr. Maisha T. Winn. Dr. Winn is not only a yogi, but also an associate professor at Emory University, youth justice advocate, and author of Girl Time: Literacy, Justice, and the School-to-Prison Pipeline.
Maisha’s contribution to society, local communities, and youth exemplifies what it means to take our yoga practice off the mat and into the world. It was such an honor and pleasure to interview my professor and advisor this week about her book and work. I hope you enjoy!
